Hello World,
This Grammy is new to blogging but excited to share life with you all. I’m a wife of 52 years, a mother of 4 grown children, a grammie to 5 grandchildren with another to join us in a week and 3 great grandchildren. I’m also an advanced master gardener, I love cooking and baking, and I am passionate about oil painting love to work on home remodeling projects in our 100 year old house. (More about that to come). More to come.
Life is moving along. Only 3 more days until our new little bundle enters the world. My bags are being packed and I am so ready to care for Charlotte as we wait her brother’s entry. She does not really understand how much her little world will change but I know it will be for better. She will be so excited! She and I will keep busy cooking and crafting while we hang out. She loves pancakes with fruit or yogurt so that will be number one on our list. This is my pancake recipe…
1 cup of all purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 egg
1 teaspoon sugar (optional)
1 tablespoon flavorless oil
1 cup buttermilk
Mix dry ingredients and add all the wet ingredients. Mix until moist but do not overmix. Heat skillet at 350* with a tablespoon of oil. Drop batter the size you want your pancakes. Flip when you see bubbles forming. Add butter and Mrs. Butterworth’s syrup, yogurt or fruit of your choice. Enjoy!
